Then those could be extracted and inserted back into the SNES rom.

Romancing SaGa 2 is already on Steam.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/606370/Romancing_SaGa_2/

But Chaos Rings and Adventures of Mana has yet to make it there.
And it's especially insulting for Adventures of Mana since the Secret of Mana Remake was probably built on the same engine as Adventures of Mana, and Adventures of Mana would make a great companion to the Secret of Mana remake.

The only platform which has both Adventures of Mana and Secret of Mana Remake is the PS Vita, and even then, Secret of Mana Remake fails to reach 60fps there even when it's uncapped.
So a PC port of Adventures of Mana would be great.

I download the iOS version from the Japanese Apple Store several years ago. It was pretty good actually. I played it mostly on the train when commuting, and it looked and ran alright on the 5s and it served its purpose. At least I didn’t have to lug around the ridiculously heavy PSP or Vita, or carry around that oversized DS crap. Like the other classic square games that had updates, it was a copy from the last handheld generation, this one being DS. Extra data added to a rom whenever an old floppy disk copier dumps it. The header contains parameters for getting that specific copier to run the game as well as locking the rom out from other copiers with competing formats. People nowadays want clean dumps without headers for legality reasons, rom hacking, and preservation. You never ever see them anymore since modern emulators don't use them and neither do flashcarts. All they do now is give rom hackers a hard time because they have to account for the header's presence and distribute two different patches. One for clean dumps and another for headers. If you're trying to play the game on a console without having to fork over hundreds of dollars to resellers or Flash cart distributors, then a PS1 + Final Fantasy Chronicles would be a sane investment.
