F-Zero X N64 Disk Drive Expansion Kit
https://64dd.org/dumps_p.html
you'll find a rom here that combines F-Zero X with the 64DD-exclusive expansion kit. basically it adds 2 more cups, and a way to make your own cups. There's also an english patch there. 64DD emulation requires particular emulation settings, and that website has a PJ64 build pre-configured for it.

Feel like this is something lots of F-Zero fans have missed out on so definitely check it out if you enjoyed F-Zero X at all

Oh... reminds me of ye olden days when a friend of mine downloaded Tenebrae Quake and we stood in awe of the lighting effects and bump mapping on pretty much all surfaces.
And how my friend's pretty kick ass 400 MHz Pentium could only handle it at single-digit frame rates at times with the effects and game resolution turned up.
