People try to go all technical but these games are so good that I just ignore any flaw and enjoy them for what they are. Every year I need to play RE1, 2, 3, REmake and Code: Veronica again.

Because Claire Redfield wasn't originally Claire Redfield. The character you posted is actually Elza Walker, the original female protag of RE2 before they retooled the game. They wanted to tie the sequel more closely to the original.

It's literally the worst game of the classic survival horror style in the series. I played that game at least three times and always, always got so bored halfway through that I never finished it.

lol features the best knife without being overpowered like in RECV, you can dodge attacks, you can make custom ammo, Nemesis is the most fun Tyrant-like boss in the franchise and it introduced the quick turn, how could this game possibly be shit tier? Sure, if you just want to play them digital only. Except for Director's Cut, stay away from that one. I had to buy the original RE1 game to play on my PS3.

Silent Hill was better at horror; it's nuanced, psychological, claustrophobic and gets under your skin. The story is so difficult to piece together that still to this day, some people still don't understand exactly what happened.

Resident Evil is more fun. It's pure B-movie goodness, classic zombie outbreak, full of genuinely fun and memorable moments.
