What dungeon crawlers have the largest single maps?

>> No.4501639

Anvil of Dawn has some big maps, if memory serves.

>> No.4501641

Telengard was retardedly huge: 50x200x200. No point in even trying to explore when everything is random anyway.

Not an expert here but maybe Wizardry VII?
When I played Megami Tensei the area Mazurka seemed so fucking huge as well. The whole game is first person grid-based dungeon crawling as well and interconnected.

a really old (and crude) text based attempt at a dungeons and dragons clone called
DND

it had 5 dungeons, one of which was telengard
although the game is retarded it took up quite alot of time on my first 8088 computer.

Wizardry 7 dungeons aren't that big.
Even the overworld is manageable in terms of size, only the sea takes longer to map.

OP didn't ask specifically for dungeons, I thought of that game since it's a pretty big grid-based world, isn't it?

It's not the biggest dungeon.

Why compare to five different M&M worlds when they all have the same size?
Ultima would be a more apt comparison with 64x64 (III), 256x256 (IV,V) and 1024x1024 (VI).
