It's not even a good book.
Once upon a time Pelevin was a good post-modern writer that had some interesting ideas and wrote weird but entertaining shit
Then he decided to sift his writing towards more politically and socially relevant themes, and fill them with references and homages to the modern trends, which made his books becoming obsolete and irrelevant soon after he wrote them, some times even before that.

His last good book was "Sacred book of a Werevolf" and it's actually translated. Too bad the translators botched one of the core jokes - name of the protagonist being "A. Huli" which roughly translates to "Why the Fuck Not" which is played upon in numerous jokes.
