While everyone seems to be interested in really challenging games from bygone eras, no one seems to care about the games that were easy (but good).

Super Metroid is pretty easy if you take your time and collect everything. You won't get the best ending, but shit, you can just use a game genie to reset your play time, I would imagine.

This, more or less. In all subsequent Zeldas, even the most difficult dungeons/bosses are unlikely to kill you if you remembered to stock up on potions and/or spent enough time exploring for heart pieces and upgrades. And you will, because you miss out on a lot of the charm and atmosphere of the games if you don't do any exploration or sidequests.

I know this is /vr/ but holly shit I must mention "Darksiders" as it was the easiest motherfucking game I ever played, even on "hardest" difficulty.
