How do you feel about this character?

>> No.4471692

Sad.
Have you ever meet someone that you are incapable of helping in any way? That no matter how hard he tries, he is destined to fail?
It's just sad. He reminds me of really lonely people.

>> No.4471748

Someone who rejects and is rejected by society will lead a sad, lonely and bitter life.

It's a rough truth. I'm glad it's in the game though. Fits the coming of age theme really well.

A lot of characters in Kakariko Village I expected to have more backstory and plot relevance than they did. Dampe the gravekeeper was another one.

shoulda worked with his dad more. a decent couple weeks of work woulda dulled that edge by half, at least. plus he'd probably be happier accomplishing something. seriously, both his parents own their own buisness' and there he is 'aw poor me.'
still sad though

>> No.4473449

>>4471940
Actually might be.

Later he goes off into the woods by himself. Once you wake him up he says he needs a potion from his mom. She implies this is something that happens often.

I've heard a theory that the potion is supposed to be something to help with withdrawels or hangover or some such.

Might be nothing, hell it's probably nothing, but this guy being a junkie just seems a bit too appropriate for me not to give the theory a little credence.

He's right, every NPC in 3d zeldas has been disgusting as hell and no amount of fetishism for fishes and niggerjew women can prove otherwise.

How did I never pick up on that... now her Termina counterpart being related to Anju makes a bit more sense to me.

I was about to say, "Yes, I've met myself," but on further consideration, I don't know if that's actually true. Can you say that you've met yourself? Or do you simply know yourself, without any event that could be called "meeting" taking place?

Not bad desu. Also I always found it sad that in oot he meets his end by turning into a stalfos. It's ironic how in majora's mask, the much darker game, his parallel counterpart receives a more cheerful ending after you help turn his chicks into cuckos.

So they went all out and actually named a location in the game "Twin Peaks".
Zelda has been influenced by Twin Peaks since Link's Awakening.
Characters like this I find particularly Lynch-esque.

>> No.4479119

>>4479107

It's implied that they're just elseworlds versions of themselves and that Termina is really just a parallel world to Hyrule.

But the truth is that Aonuma wanted to make the game in less than a year to prove it could be done, so he reused a fuck tone of character models from OOT.

>> No.4479127

>>4479119
I was alright with that. Tons of characters are also new, and I think some of the old models were enhanced or given new animations.
What would have been shitty is if the game was still set in Hyrule and it was mostly the same map but with new dungeons, like the original Ura Zelda was going to be like.
I remember for a while I was confused about Ura Zelda and Gaiden, before MM came out and nobody was sure what was going on with the 64DD, if it definitely wasn't coming out outside Japan.

>> No.4479137

>>4479127

I would have been cool with re-using Hyrule, it felt like there was still a lot of unexplained mysteries in the world of OOT ( that tree with the giant claw marks on it will forever haunt me ), but I think what we got in MM was a better deal. I hope they do something similar for BOTW, though they probably don't even have to re-use character models since incidental NPCs are clearly made using a souped up version of mii maker.
