I stream Megami Tensei sometimes, I peak at 2 viewers and have 2 followers.

did that when it was still justin.tv and could get drunk and swear on the stream. Now it's not fun anymore. BUt go for it anon, you could play all the hidden gems for big bucks.

I already do, anon. I'm usually split between retro games and indie games.
I don't have a lot of followers, but that's okay, it's fun to play games and game mods.

I would play ROMS or afford a capture card if I had something to stream with, like a gaming PC. Then I would just play games all day and make money at the same time with the subscriptions & donations I get.

There's not really much of an audience in the first place for yet another playthrough of the non-competitive single player game they've seen a million times. With the internet there's not a whole lot of obscure games left to play either, and the ones that are obscure are generally bad and aren't going to get you viewers.

You'd honestly be better off doing let's plays on YouTube and monetizing those, maybe supplement that with live streamed speedruns if you're actually a good speedrunner.

I guess if you had a radio host voice and personality and good social media hyping skills, someone could potentially build a retro gaming talkshow with actual viewership. You know, try to drag in that e-celeb crowd that obsesses with AVGN. Not really anything I'd personally watch, though.
