Play games for intrinsic reasons rather than extrinsic ones. You'll have more fun, trust me.

I'll explain: what's most important is not the reward for doing something in the game, but rather if you have fun while you are playing it. Value the journey, not the destination.

And this is coming from someone who hasn't played these games (I've only seen some friends play one, I think Warped.). It's a general game thing, and maybe even hobby thing.

As a kid I cheated to get 100%. To me it still doesn't seem to be worth it.

The 100% ending for Crash 1 is even worse than the normal ending. You're robbed of a final boss fight and get a non-canon ending.

The 100% ending for Crash 2 leads into Crash 3. It's only a short scene, and you're not missing out on too much, but it's a pleasant enough reward.

Crash 3 gives the final boss different dialogue if you're at 100%, as well as a new ending. Feel free to go for it if you want.

CTR needs even more mastery of its tracks and is the most demanding to get platinum relics on, and 2 just controls really well so it's fun to replay levels.

Just 'cause the credits rolled doesn't mean it's over.

I don't think any of them are worth 100%ing, but if you want to get the most out of your Crash then go for it.
