I always enjoy the first part of Goldeneye 007 just because those levels are entirely snowy. It's a shame that they didn't do anything cold or frosty in CBFD. It could have been good.

The Megami Tensei franchise has a ton. Most of the series' lore is Torah/Old Testament based. There's also a lot of Jewish imagery (most frequently the Star of David) used in retro games simply as 'exotic religious symbolism', in much the same way crosses and Christian imagery are used, simply because they are foreign but recognizable to the Japanese.

Xmas '97. I got lylat wars in the big box with a rumble pack. I was 9, old enough to beast the game in one day but not old enough to realise eating a whole tube of munchies would make me puke. Still a great Xmas but my whole childhood has this taint of sadness, in a comforting way. It feels summed up by the foggy dreary background on the lylat wars battle mode. Thanks for the nostalgia.

Corneria and the Asteroid Field. I was so blown away. Also the sneak preview worked perfectly, got the thing opened, plugged it in and played for a while put it back in the box and put it back exactly where it had been in the exact same position.
