I'm glad you said Kirkhopian music, because I've actually heard that term before, and I want it to spread it around. That could become a real music term, and I derely want it to be.

Do your part. Write an extensive article/thesis about Kirkhopian music and its impact on the whole game industry (and beyond) and make sure it gets linked everywhere like reddit, tumblr, and any niche news website you can muster.

If Kirkhope is Elfman, than Sakuraba is... John Williams? Instantly recognizeable, but it all sounds kinda samey?

A lot of his work on games that aren't as popular falls under the radar, but Kirkhope is always Kirkhope.

I didn't mean it in a negative way, I love Elfman's tunes. His style of music is the closest thing I'd compare Kirkhope to. Especially when he wants to do something moody, it always mirror's some of the tunes in Hot Topic bait movies. The chimes in the Beginning of the Batman theme song sound like they'd fit right in for Gruntilda's keep, Beetlejuice sounds like Mad Monster Mansion, ect.
