My favorite game on Dreamcast is Shenmue. But as far as it needed a sequel goes, they're already working on Shenmue 3.

Sonic Adventure, got it shortly after the Dreamcast launched. I played the Demo disc like crazy. Emerald Coast gives to chills to this day. Took me 10 minutes to finish the stage the first time. And the intro blew my mind as a kid.

I really really want Sega to port it to 3DS or Switch so I can play it anywhere. One day sooner rather then later I hope.

Honestly I still think Emerald coast is a great level. a lot of the adventure series suffers from unmemorable level designs, but both start off with great levels full of promise between Emerald Coast and City escape.

Rez and D2 could definitely use a sequal.

This shit is Cannon Spike, one of the best shooters. Made by Capcom and Psikyo complete with Cammy, Megaman, and other characters who don't matter as much. It's fun as hell.

Pic related is a sorta prequel/sequel to Rez. It's pretty good. It's probably the only good Kinect game on 360 but I prefer playing with the Move controllers on the PS3 version.

Level itself is fun as hell as Sonic stages were in that game, except for Casinopolis that should have been be a hub with the pinball tables like mini-games as the twinkle park kart thingy.

The save file was just a neat feature that made Shenmue 2 easier since you keep your level mastery and a bunch of items for collectan but isnt necessary.

Xbox has a movie of the first game that makes you understand the game anyways. Most of Shenmue 1 is like a detective mode, getting clues and work to leave your hometown while getting toys, training, etc. Shenmue 2 is where the action is

Toy Commander. Does it deserve a sequel? In my opinion, yeah. The only other favorite of mines that would go on to not get a sequel (Space Channel 5 is another favorite) is Skies of Arcadia, but I personally don't think that it needs a sequel. Just a fucking PC remaster already.

Well Side Story also had the Japan only 0079 version which I'm sure you already knew about. Plus Dreamcast got pic related which imo, is the best Gundam game ever. Oh and an online only strategy type game.

While I agree a modern sequel would probably suck, the game certainly could have benefited from a sequel, since ship battles and ship, crew and base customization were severely under-developed

I think a good modern sequel could just be an MMO with no major storyline, but basically be an air pirate simulator where you can build your own base and ship and go on adventures.
