I just tried it on psxfin...and on windows vista it worked fine...BUT on windows 8.1 it gets hung up after beating richter right before going into upside down castle. I even reload the iso and it stays hung up and won't continue the dialogue. fucking sucked. it's a great game and still the best Metroid style castlevania there is.

Yeah, but at least she's fun to play as on Saturn. PSP couldn't even get her superjump right, in that you can't move diagonally, so you have to use the slow bird to drift right/left.

The PSP version from Dracula X Chronicles has the most content while still being a good port.
Purists hate it because bugfixes and different voice actors/script.

If you're not going to play that, just emulate the PS1 version.

have you even played the saturn port? its trash, like almost irredeemable trash, the only good thing about it is maria, and only because she plays so different from rondo. The new areas are completely out of place and terrible. Not to mention that the game suffers horribly from performance issues compared to the PS1 version, like fuck off with this shit already, stop perpetuating this.

360's version uses a song off Lament of innocence as the ending theme. No I Am The Wind and no Mournful Serenade (the new piece Michiru Yamane composed for the PSP)
