Both the normal and custom magnums one shot all normal enemies, and the damage difference on bosses is almost non existant. Maybe one shot less with custom magnum.

The key difference is that the custom Magnum can one shot up to 4 regular enemies at once, while the standard Magnum fires at least 4x faster.

So if you save up Magnum rounds for the final battle it's better to not even bother with the custom Magnum at all. You can end any boss battle a lot faster with the standard Magnum, given the higher firing rate, and use only slightly more ammo.

That said, there literally enough ammo in re2 to kill every enemy 3 times. So how do you run out of ammo? Did you even look for it?

First time playing a Resident Evil game and I'm chicken shit when it comes to horror games so I ran out of ammo for a lot of my weapons since my scared ass shot every zombie even if it was out of the way instead of just dodging around them. I'm also not the best shot around
