Donkey Kong for the gameboy, technically a Mario game, still better than the main Mario titles.

The only time DK was shit compared to Mario is the Donkey Kong Land series, DK64, and that void of garbage between 64 and DKC Returns.

Saying something is "better" doesn't automatically makes it true. Although I think DKC 1 and 2 are very good games and I can understand how some people might like them more than the Mario games.
As for DK on gameboy, you mean DK'94? That's not even in the same style as the sidescrolling Super Mario games, and you control Mario on it anyway.
