Not really I have one and while it was fun to have you can do better with a mid 90s PVM. The best thing about it is it has external stereo audio output but you can achieve that just plugging your RCA outputs into any sound system you have.

It's a pretty old model. It can't do component or progressive. No service menu to make minor adjustments. I sold mine for twice as much as I payed for the 20" BVM I got to replace it

I got a 27-inch Profeel myself a couple of weeks ago, it's the European model, but should be near identical to the 25" US version. It's currently in storage (and sadly will be for a while) and probably needs a recap/some adjustments, but I simply couldn't resist as it was free + 20€ for the speakers.

>> No.4396005

>>4395985
>180$
>super rare, proprietary
If you actually do go ahead with it, I'd really like to see some photos and such of what the cable (and possible breakout box?) looks like/has in it if you wouldn't mind.

That said, you could have very easily commissioned someone to make you a breakout cable that would do the exact same thing for a fraction of that price. The connector itself is a common floppy drive connector, and the pinout is pretty easy to find.

Additionally, if it still looks the same as the picture in the OP, it badly needs some adjustments done to it, if not a sizable recapping. At the very least, some geometry adjustments and likely some brightness/color balance stuff. I hope it's not looking the bright and washed out in person, since that's putting extra undue wear on the tube as well.

PX-34 is the 34 pin (aka floppy drive) connector which was supplied with Profeel monitors.

A solitary ready-made cable (SMK-0001) was offered but it terminated in a DIN connector and was intended for use with the TI-99 microcomputer. It's likely not shielded either.

tl;dr: It's better to make your own. Short as possible with a ferrite bead for EMI suppression and terminating in a suitably ubiquitous connector (SCART of course).

Sorry to tell you this, bro but... your Trinitron has a memory card slot on the bottom left, so it's probably a model that says it does 720p/1080i near the component/DVI inputs on the back. They don't display 240p scanlines and have scaling issues. Your CRT is too new. Post the model code in the CRT general for confirmation.

What's a quality, long lasting NES clone to buy? Looking at the RetroUSB for it's high-def support, but how's it's reliability? Is it a stable system? Should I just get the original NES? What's /vr/ own

>> No.4410456

>>4410447
Basically no cheap NOAC clones are worth buying, AVS and Analogue NT mini are the only two worth getting, frankly. Both have great reviews; the NT does more but it's ludicrously expensive. If you're looking to use HDTVs going forward, an HDMI Modded NES or an NES/FC and a scaler are wise moves.

I know my cable management sucks, but whatever, the whole setup is kind of temporary.

NES-101 with a Famicom adapter RF'ed into a portable Panasonic I got at the goodwill. Fun times. Actually a decent rig for Atari games, since many of them were designed to be playable in B&W

kek, he is watching jewtube on baby's first LCD and using a shitty HD CRT. Maybe he could have a proper set up if he sold some of those games and emulated like an adult.

this set up would be perfect if you had a front loading NES and set the TV on top of it. too bad you have the shit model

I'm not really an NES guy, my hardware collection is almost all Famicoms. The NES-101 is the only NES I have, and the TV is longer than an NES is deep anyway.

Get an AV Famicom and a FC > NES converter. It's legitimately the best unmodded NES/Famicom you can get.

>no hardwired controllers
>AV out
>top loading
>still has the extra controller port for various weird japanese alt controllers you might want
>compatible with Disk System if you want to get one
