Underrated/forgotten shmup since it was on DOS back in the day, or is it nothing special?

I recently revisited this game and I find it pleasantly difficult. The currency/upgrade component is nice, but ends up becoming just a list of required purchases to make the game easier. I loved this game once upon a time and playing it in Dosbox has been a blast.

Metroidvania always annoyed me to no end. Konami never hid the fact Symphony of the Night was inspired by Super Metroid. Castevania got a second wind because of that. There should be no vania in it. Just Metroid style.

This game was on a pc demo disc along with Star Wars dark forces and commander keen 4, secret agent, monster bash, and all these other apogee dos games

Nvm it didn't have dark forces I just had that disc too I think I found it, apogee's greatest games. It was a shareware disc with 15 games. Raptor, commander keen 4, duke nukem, some math/spelling game, bio menace, secret agent, monster bash, and a few others

I looked on eBay and found no results. I NEED IT AGAIN
