I used to play sonic & knuckles with other cartridges on top a lot so I never really found it that hard. I think someone counted out how many rings there are per level and there was some insane amount, like 3 per level. They're stil pretty well hidden imo because in all my playthroughs I never imagined there were nearly that many. It'd be neat if someone had some level maps showing them.

Just beat this game finally and I did it by getting ALL the emeralds for the first time. Super was broken as fuckkkk and basically let me rape Sonic 3. Hyper was also broken as fuck but I didn't have any use for water breathing (there is none in S&K) and the sonic boom was not necessary when he was already fast and invincible.

But definitely super/hyper break the shit out of the game.

Huh. I got all of the EMERAUDSSS with Sonic alone, Sonic and Tails, Tails alone, and Knuckles.

Super Knuckles is super suckles. Super Tails, on the other hand... The game plays more like R-Type than Sonic with him.

Basically anything you craft could be a potential game breaker in Legend of Mana. The trick was actually making any sense out of the crafting system.

At first, he's just sort of speedy and has a lot of HP, but then everyone else evens out. Then when he gets his sword and speed ether, he suddenly gets insanely cheesy. He can kill bosses before anyone else gets a turn.

It wasn't TOO hard.
Sure, getting absurd 999+ attack power weapons required some truly dire calculations but with a bit of effort and a basic grasp of forging you could make something that would take you through No Future mode.

In Resident Evil 3, the second handgun you got let you instantly kill anything but Nemesis if you fired immediately after back-dodging (coming up from the roll). You can do the entire game with that handgun and the knife.
