RPGfags, they like slow and text-heavy games because they can't git gud and discuss their waifus and SO DEEP plots instead of game design and gameplay.

I love shoot'em ups. Especially the 16bit era, it has so much to chose from. I'm not any good at it, but it's fun to me. Bullet hell games can be fun too, but it's usually more agony than joy.

For some unknown reason 6-7 years ago, everyone on YT started to say SHMUPS. And every time they said shmups, they had to clarify that they meant shoot'em ups. And it took like 3 years for it to catch on, and now it's used like it's the actual term for a genre. I cringe every time I hear it.

Also, while I'm at it - the fan base of Metal Jesus Rocks. That ass hat is an absolute empty bucket of videogame knowledge. He claims to be a huge fan of different games, yet when his guests who actually have played said games talk about them, it's painfully obvious that he has done nothing more than read the cover. His deep "hidden gem" knowledge, boils down to "it's really fun, I like it". I bet he's getting rich from selling the thousands of games and consoles that fans are sending him each year.

Also retro game collectors who are not retro gamers should be raped with a cactus. "I collect these because I know they are worth a lot to people who actually play them (I also preorder any video game that has COLLECTORS EDITION in the title, because I'm smart like that"
