Back when the college I was going to had arcade cabinets, my team for this game was Kim, Ken, and Terry. Usually either C Groove or N Groove.
The only digital release of this game is the PS2 version on PS3. I wish there was an HD version with online, I'd play that to death.

found my CvS2 copy for PS2 in the basement, thinking of booting it up for a laughs. Shame I have no peeps for such an old game. vs. SNK was a great crossover franchise.

Random select. It was how I played with my friends. However if I were to choose, probably charge characters (Blanka, Dictator, Guile, Claw, Boxer, Edmond Honda), evil characters (Rolento, Sagat), and sometimes cute (Cammy, Sakura, fanservice Yuri - her pants are colored like her arms, Hibiki, and Vice).

If random select ever gives me Kyousuke, Chang/Choi, Rock Howard, Maki (despite being cute), Raiden, or Zangief ... I am fucked!

I know Kyosuke sucks but I can't not take the bone thrown to Rival Schools fans. I wish that Batsu got into CvS and Kyosuke were in TvC instead; the latter seems better suited to cuhrayzee (as well as 3D graphics) while I think Batsu fits more grounded fighting a bit better.

Hibiki is very cool character-wise, but in CVS she is a challenge to use to match up with other characters. She's not as difficult as my death lineup described earlier, but she's almost there for me.

Are you kidding? Rugal, the answer in any videogame that features him is Rugal. He is perfectly crafted to be the biggest pain in the crotch.

He can reflect projectiles, regen health, hit you from across the screen and his attacks are usually insanely safe. If Deep Blue fought God Rugal for 10,000 hours its only conclusion would be that we should be ruled by him.

in terms of frames, yes, in terms of priority, Ryu shits all over every other character. God Rugal's tough to beat in something like C groove, but if you have parry or just defend, or worse, a command counter like hibiki or rock, you can just chew him up and spit him out.

Hibiki is the most powerful character in CvS2 because she has the one thing that beats priority attacks every single time, which is a long attack hitbox that extends far outside of her own tiny hitbox that you can use to chip anyone into guardbreak and unload her autocombo on.
