How many units did this thing sell in the U.S.? I've been trying to get boxed copies of the english releases (there's only like 40 games for the thing) & there isn't even a single copy of Dark Arms for sale with the box online. The copies of Fatal Fury & King of fighters R2 that are being sold with the box are over $150 for some reason too. Were production numbers really that low?

Not him, but why?

The late release US games were produced in much greater quantities than ever actually made it to the shelves. Then the copies that never made it to retail were sold off wholesale and in many cases, cartridge only because the packaging simply was never produced.

It might be because of this. They were sold in these generic bundle packs a few years after SNK discontinued the system in the west. I bought up all these packs back then for cheap. Plus what >>4304459 said.

KoF R-2 was not that great of a game, I hope you don't pay that much money.

Had one when it came out -- saw commercials for it, this was in El Paso, TX around 2000-2001 on Toonami???? Apparently I was target audience which was true

Had Sonic and Samurai Showdown II and from those two games alone got more hours than pokemon on a Gameboy but it was niche and completely overshadowed by people wanting gold and silver

That was probably the first wave of reselling the leftover stock. We're those actually distributed by SNK or by some other company? I never saw that package before.

Wow! I wished those were available where I lived. In its day, all my friends bought the NeoGeo Pocket Color and they all loved it, but I was too poor to even get one. The one I have now was gifted by one of those friends. That package has some amazing games, and I am super jealous you got a few of those packs.

I have since gotten the NeoGeo Pocket SD, and it is a great flashcart for the system, but I still want to get some more of those actual cartridges. Those 6 are an outstanding collection to start out with for the system.
