Play the first sequal WipEout XL - it is much more forgiving when you scrape the sides and is a better game in every way possible. One of my favorite summers I can remember was playing the hell out of it to master the fastest class.

memorizing the tracks is the most important thing. Spend as much time as possible practicing time trials to improve. Raising & lowering the nose of your ship in turns & inclines is just as important as airbrakes so learn that until its second nature.

The best game to learn the ropes is wipeout 2097, then move to wipeout 3 special edition.

yeah, no the best is na release of wipeout 3 as it's faster,smoother and has the best physics, s.e gives you some extra content but they completely borked the physics to allow floaty bullshit and track skips everywhere although this isn't important if you're a more casual player.

What are you talking about? I own and play every release of wipeout 3 and am british not american you silly cunt. You don't play the game past pleb level so have no idea what i'm explaining but S.E whilst still good as physics which allow you to fly off the fucking track entirely taking massive shortcuts with no penalty which 3 doesn't and overall is more sluggish and has floatier controls whilst 3 N.A is the fastest, smoothest (60hz) and feels much more snappy + no stupid skips to make a mockery of tracks. The extra tracks in S.E are OK but not brilliant as you can feel on them that they were never designed with 3's feel in mind, gareduropa plays much better on XL for example and looks better to. Please continue to ignore all of this and just spout retarded irrelevant one liners though.

F-zero gx is the only one i think is overated as fuck though and after playing it a bunch still couldn't believe how overated it is. Extreme-g is probs my other fav future racer after wipeout and now ballisticng on steam to.

Plebs that don't use the drift break will never go fast. Wipeout 2097 and use the fastest ship. The multiplayer was horrid on it though since you needed 2 PlayStation's
