I wouldn't do it to my consoles, I don't even like OEM "colorful" variants and only pick up black versions when available i.e. Sega Sports Dreamcast but I'm sure OP likes the way his consoles look.

I'd just like it if more Nintendo consoles were available in black. I'm not quite to the point where I'm going to pick up a Titler to get a black NES and the Twin isn't exactly black. There are even fewer Super variants is there even any black one? Other than clones of course.

We actually do most of our retro gaming on Wii and my living room Wii is a GC back compatible black model I got for $15 because the pawn shop thought it was scratched up but it was just adhesive residue from some tape or something.

I'd showcase that too because it is so much worse in my hole in the USA. I check Verizon's FIOS availability weekly, to monthly, to hardly ever now as I have come to accept that they don't want to associate with my area with constant "thanks for your interest but we'll be there." Fiber would be such an upgrade for me. I have begged the Google gods to choose this area, but no, they choose to bless places like Kansas City, Austin, Provo, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, etc. aggressively demonstrating they will avoid me. Now they have decided to not only halt their efforts, but scale back their existing efforts. I am unfortunate enough to be in an area where I can continually get charged more and more for 3rd world internet half of the bandwidth is still devoted for sale to advertisers.

I think paint jobs on consoles can look good. I would love to do it to my Gamecubes as to be affordable they were bathed in the sun to a piss yellow while some "spiky circle" shape covers a portion to advertise its price and newness.
