The sad thing is, the average PS1 fan actually believes that everything other than RPGs on the PS1 is actually better than the competition. For example, if you bring up platformers, they will default to Spyro and Crash Bandicoot (both shitty games) and then talk shit on the likes of SM64 and Banjo for being "collectathons", as if they are too mentally simple to understand the concept of anything other than walking in a straight line and breaking crates with colorful faces on them.
