And here I thought you were trying to make some kind of retarded TV tuner joke.

Would it be bad to run it that way? Let's see, a disc-based system sitting at a slant on the back of a TV... what do you think? Maybe you should put it on the large open table space right in front of the TV you fucking retard.

would this be ok then? why is it bad that it's a the back the the tv? it gets a little warm but what else? I wanna use an arcade stick on the table and there's no room for both, it may look like there is but i tried

I am with this guy. Get a crappy end table to put it on, something. I'd hate to see it fall.

falling is impossible, it's sandwiched between a part of the tv and the wall, 100% stable

Look, you need to understand. Your wires are not perfectly plumb and level.

But really, if nothing else, I would at least make sure the disc is spinning on a level plane...if that makes sense.

OK I gave the wires much more slack and the console is now leveled, thx

I was actually making fun of other autists about the wires thing, but the system I was being 100% about.

I don't know if it matters, but because the speed a cd spins at, it cannot move. It acts like a centrifuge/gyroscope. If it shifts while running, you can guarantee the cd will be rubbing the plastic housing and possibly the laser. The wires thing is just bullshit. too many autists care what the wires you never see look like. I will "origami" wires in a pc case for air flow, but behind a tv it is always a mess.

freshwater, was a dream tank for my lone betta fish, but I had to get rid of it recently cause I'm moving very soon. He lived a good life

>>4233232
it's not that bad, I'm not really playing for extended period sitting that close. I'm picking up an s video cable that just arrived from the post office tomorrow so that should make the flicker a lot better

I use one as a divider between my office and the family room. My retro and "office" is back there. game is on the screen under Darth Vader. I am coming out of a very bad algae issue. Snails & crabs eat algae, but I got a fish that loves to kill and eat all of these thing. Its a fun game of balance.
>>4233287
>euthanasia by hammer
I try to put them in the fridge. Lets them go out by falling asleep. However with my current setup, the big ones are always eating the little ones. Fish disappear. It happens.

>> No.4233321

>>4233301
don't they just freeze to death in the fridge? I read several sources saying one hammer blow is relatively pain free for the fish. Beautiful tank/game room by the way!

I am sure it is as well. They go into torpor in the fridge.

Its a real nice touch to the game area. The "Office" side is almost totally retro games...the "Family room" side is all new crap and flat panels.

It doesn't matter what angle the disc spins in you just can't move it (other than very slowly) while it does.

You'll go blind sitting that close to the TV. I don't see why the Saturn has to be behind the TV either, there is no reason it can't be on the floor while in use and on the table in front of the TV while not in use.

No, they are not.

No, they are not.
But just because it's common for people to do a thing doesn't mean it is at all wise for them to do that thing. People smoke.

Since about 1980, all CRTs have all been made with leaded glass and solid state rectifiers. There's no x-ray radiation from anything remotely modern. 60hz flicker from that close probably causes eye strain but so does having your phone four inches from your face all day.

That's true! If that's what you meant then you're right. At the arcade, you pretty much had to take turns and I suppose I had some long runs taking quarters from fools at KI where my eyes felt the effects. I'm sure there's some Anon who spent his while childhood a foot away from a console TV who will anecdotally claim his eyes are fine though.

>> No.4237815

Why can't you just put the Saturn on top of the TV? It looks like there's a lot of flat room on top.

Not retro. Even though it feels like it's been forever.
