No. You can hold it just fine and it won't hurt to play with, but it's not really comfortable in the sense that your hands form to it naturally. It's also a dust magnet and gets sticky just from the dust.

Looks cute, though.

What is it made of?
My regular plastic controllers don't get dust unless I haven't played the console in months?

I'm looking to increase my performance in fighting games, shmups, and racing games without buying large bulky arcade sticks and wheels (running out of space for retro in my apt).
Is this worth the $70 it goes for on ebay?
Why is the silver color one only $35 on ebay?

I'm not that guy and can confirm what he said 100%. Also good luck finding a replacement cable should something go amiss.

forgot to add it barely plays well with DQ8, the game it was released next to. The DPad is awful and the shoulder buttons feel very awkward.

I love how Square Enix designed it with a detachable cable just so the slime could have an anus.

How in the fuck can you think that looks comfortable?

Only if it's actually squishy.

It isn't. It has a rubbery texture to it but it has a firm body.

ps1 controller is the best ever made for a fighting pad.

Is that for real? As a poorfag that only have a dualshock controller i get the feeling its not really good for fighting at all. I really dislike the dpad. Arent arcade sticks a better option overall?

It's 35 dollars, but every time I try to buy the silver one they sell out

I have it and it is so long as you never touch that d-pad.

well learn more about controllers, then a vanilla ps1 contoller is totally different from a dualshock.

there's like a lot of resources out there for this, try consulting some of those so you're not asking boring petulant questions of people.

>> No.4213367

>>4211689
It looks as though it would make it really awkward to reach some of the buttons. It's probably way heavier than a controller should be too. So in short, no. This is a collector's item at best.

>> No.4213446

>>4211689
ive got this.
good luck buying it new this late though. the slightly soft plastic causes it to get sticky if its still been in the package all this time.
anime figures can have this same issue. something about the plastic mixture and gases.

>> No.4213447

>>4213367
It's not difficult to reach any of the buttons and it's not as heavy as you think it is.

Its made to put on the shelf and look at it, not to actually play video games with.

You can fix this stickyness by rubbing talcum powder/baby powder on it.

The Dualshock has plastic and rubber internals with pads underneath the d-pad and buttons that flex and deform when pressed to push down on the plastic contact sheet underneath. This causes them to wear out, without fail, after a certain amount of use, because the rubber fatigues and will break apart instead of continuing to spring back.

the original scph-1010 does not have that rubber piece and will last a great deal longer

it's a lot less comfy than a japan saturn pad, everyone knows those have the best dpad available
