Does a pet beetle really need that much space or are you just fattening him up as a welcoming feast for your ultimate aquarium pet?

idk about bugs but im kinda into fresh water aquariums and most people keep their lil guys in too small of a space. Like gold fish really need like 15-20 gallons.
to me the beetle looks like he could use a bit bigger tank

Old pic l because I didn't feel like cleaning up again for a new one. I just moved in 6 weeks ago and finally got this set up last week when I brought the TV stand home from Goodwill. Setup looks the same right now, not pictured is the Xbox, Dreamcast and SNES underneath.

I have a Genesis, Saturn and NES that I also want to get hooked up but I haven't worked out the details yet; I'll probably move the GCN and DC to the sides of my monitor, put one of the consoles on top, and might end up stacking one on top of the Hueg as well (the thing I hate about that is that the case of the Xbox isn't flat so whatever is on it is gonna be wobbly).

The aquarium isn't that big, maybe 16 inches long, 10 inches wide.
I had a smaller one, but he just seemed to sit there and sleep all day. When I got the bigger aquarium, there was more room for random yard debris, and he seemed to like it a lot more.

He actually moves stuff around and explores quite a bit now.

I like the case but I don't enjoy working with it. The dual chamber design is honestly great but it's just a pain to work with. Aside from working on it the one thing I dislike about this case is that the top/side panel with the window can and will rattle if your fans spin up fast enough. I'm probably going to buy a case using Scandinavian minimalist design next.

There aren't many main roads, and those are clogged so going distances is tedious. Most of the area is small towns, with one metropolitan area that would be as big as a suburb outside a city like NYC. That's were most of the commercial and (what little of) industrial there is. Well there are two types of spiders that were indigenous to the basement. One is this extremely spindly almost transparent kind that live in the rafters and weave very fine cobwebs. Once in a while one will drop straight down in an attempt to wait to be blown somewhere and start a web and if you're unlucky they might do it right on you while you sit there which is only scary right in front of your face. If they actually land on you you can barely even feel them and would probably just think one of your body hairs was tickling you, scratch it and demolish the spider without ever being aware of him.

The other variety is the problem. A. Hogni, huge fucking black hairy wolf spiders that roamed the floor and would also run up the walls. Some of them had leg spans the size of a girls hand. Happily ever since I brought my cat they seem to have gone from hunters to hunted or maybe it's the flea spray but I haven't seen one of those monsters since /vr/ has been a thing just an occasional smaller brown one that comes upstairs out of the ducts the first time I run the furnace for the year. Unfortunately the most common place to find those guys is on a bed for some reason

It's an old ass Ilo branded for Walmart plasma PDP42101EA1 also sold as a Viore. Made by some unknown Korean factory. I bought it at Goodwill in 2011 for $10. Its tuner doesn't work, its HDMI doesn't work and it has some kind of hilariously low native resolution of like 800x600 but it scales down 720p or even 1080p to it and the VGA input and component both work fine and the latency is really low so it's good for gaming, very intense colors and as long as I don't ask too much out of it it chugs right along. Good for retro computer gaming too once I pulled the right pin out of the VGA cable and it stopped identifying itself as incompatible with its own native resolution.

Yikes I just looked up the hogni, damn things are terrifying. If they are technically a variant of wolf spider, am I correct in assuming they are nonvenomous to humans?
We don't have many spiders but one we do is the brown recluse. I just set a up a barrage of sticky traps and have already caught 8 of the little devils in the past few weeks. I'll post my station when it gets set up. Just got a Sony pvm but I'm waiting for a few cords to arrive.

What's the Sony on the far right?

I had a friend who was into collecting CRTs before me who had a similar model. It looked fantastic but his collection's size must have annoyed his parents, who threw out his entire stock when he went off to Uni.

My setup is kind of in a transition at the moment. My desk setup is fine, but the Trinitron setup needs some work. I need to go get a real full size shelf and a new entertainment center/TV stand. Desk monitor is Amiga 1080 with RGB. Trinitron KV24FS120 on the stand, all the consoles are now hooked up via switchers. PS2, SNES, Genesis/Saturn, and Wii through YPbPr. NES, Famicom, N64, and Dreamcast through composite and S-Video, accordingly.

Yeah, they were absolutely the most horrifying spider I'd ever seen. My Mom told me stories about waking up to find giant black wolf spiders on her bed (this is the house she grew up in I took after my grandma died) but I assumed she was exaggerating typical outdoor brown striped wolf spiders. I don't know if I'd have been as upset about a freaking tarantula or Australian mouse spider since both of those are slower. Wolf spiders can run like the wind. Part of me regrets never capturing any of the very large examples before the cats and I eradicated them but if you fail to get them after their initial spider-freeze they dash at a speed equivalent to a fast walk and they're extremely nimble and good hiders. All spiders are venomous but to my understanding their bite is about honeybee tier and unlike tarantulas, mouse spiders, brown recluses, black widows, funnel webs etc their first defense instinct is running away. As hunter type bugs I respect them and don't kill them when I see them outside. In fact, I just encountered a 1.5 incher running in front of the entrance to the local thrift store just Tuesday where I could have easily stepped on him but I didn't. I can't have them terrorizing the occupants of my house though - especially/despite being the biggest, blackest ones I ever saw.

There's one kind here, not sure of the name, but its body is the size of a fingernail, and it moves very fast. It also bites during my sleep. A couple times I've woken up while its running up my leg and killed them (how I know what they look like).

It's a KX-27PS1 aka Profeel. I paid the extreme sum of £5 to save it. Would have been taken to the dump otherwise even though it works perfectly.

I also have the 20" in storage. It needs repairs to the power supply but is in otherwise fantastic condition and was liberated from the guy who bought it new in '81.
