This thing confused the fuck out of me so much as a kid. I couldn't have been older than 4 or 5, I could barely read, and I had never played an RPG before, so I didn't understand the joke they were making about the Run command, to me it was just a random series of images that made no sense.

No actual nightmares though.

Yeah I was probably a 1st grader or something when I had mine so subtly just wasn't in the cards. Even in a relatively straight forward self portrait I had Charmanders for eyes and stuff. Most of my pictures ended up being 90% stamps

I had the thing for about a year before I figured out you could turn the camera away from the screen

GB Printer was a pretty random gimmick. Probably the only reason I 100% Pokemon was to justify having a printer (you could print out a certificate saying you caught all 150). They also added the photo gimmick to LTTP: Color for the printer.

I fell asleep playing pokemon blue as a kid and I woke up in the middle of the night and it was still on battling a gengar and I was so freaked out I took the cartridge out and the fucking game was still running the music from the battle was blasting and I was spooked
