That gets said a lot here but from a /vr/ perspective it doesn't accurately convey the horrors of the post-/vr/ era. To us, Infogrames is eh pretty cool guy, acquired GT Interactive and doesn't afraid of anything. However, since then it completely went to hell and has become basically a shambling, animated corpse currently inhabiting the body previously known as Atari.

Pic related is one of their four current products. Another is an Alone in the Dark game that was literally-literally the worst game of 2015.

I'd buy it if it came with that, but they'll probably put a dozen or so 2600 romz on it and some sort of Atari-Shop where you can buy more 2600 games for only 5 bucks a rom.

Because just like /vr/ is full of 24 year olds who only know about the NES, Atari is run by guys who only know of the 2600.

I'm sure I have no idea if it's good or bad either because it has absolutely no appeal to me. Way, way back in the 90s I used to be supportive of "pride" when I used to date "bisexual" girls before I discovered that any girl will do anything you like if she likes you enough and counter-intuitively the ones with the most "pride" are the ones most likely to have weird hangups.

We must have played totally different games theb because the version of Alone in the Dark I played had me constantly falling through the level during a car sequence at the end of the first chapter however it was done during a camera angle that didn't make it possible for me to notice so I was stuck for days doing the same thing over and over and over again thinking it was MY fault and not the game's shitty programming until I made a new file and redid it. The game had potential to be good and a great soundtrack but god damn was it a buggy mess.

I played the 360 version. I know what part you're talking about and it definitely has some blind corners leading to bottomless pits but I negotiated it on maybe the fourth or fifth try from memorizing where the falls were. I guess you had a glitch. Sometimes games have glitches, especially PC games and some are glitchier than others. Like Morrowind for example was glitchy as fuck but still a great game.

The Radica ones seem to be a bit better than the current AtGames ones, especially in the sound department. The AtGames ones have sound that is unfathomably bad. It's not the emulation either as the sound is still fucked even when playing off a physical game.
Whatever sound chip they've got in it is just horrid.
