Let's have a thread talking about retro handhelds and the games on them.

I'm looking for some good GB/GBC games that are relatively unknown to try out in my Everdrive since I'm not all that familiar with the original Game Boy. I tend to prefer RPGs, Adventure games, and Platformers, but will pretty much play anything outside of puzzle games, sports, and schmups (to some degree).

You wasted your money. The cheaper GB Smart Card works just as well as long as you use the third-party firmware that addresses various compatibility and save transfer issues. Once you get that loaded, you can play practically anything on it, and keep multiple simultaneous saves. (see here http://thegaminguniverse.org/ninjagaiden4/mottzilla/)) I don't think RTC support will be a possibility though.

Recently played through black & white Link's Awakening again (prefer it over DX because nostalgia). Going to play oracle games next

The best game for GB is Link's Awakening. Its by far the most ambitious and it still holds up remarkably well.

The best GBC game is the Metal Gear game, but Dragon Warrior Monsters, is also an underrated gem

Me too. It's looked down on, but I loved it so much when I was a kid. For the times it was pretty good. Doesn't hold the test of time, but great for a kid back in the day.
