Well, the very first evangelion video game (also titled simply "Neon Genesis Evangelion") was a Saturn exclusive.
I'm guessing they wanted to make a proper Eva game in 3D, and they found the N64 to be better to render 3D graphics than the other systems (the 3D models of the Evas on the Saturn games look really sketchy). They really nailed the 3D models on the N64 game, it's very impressive.
It's weird that the game wasn't also released on Dreamcast though.

From what I've been able to really find, the Sega Saturn doesn't have too much appeal, considering its cost and the games available for it. Usually the only people I see talking about it are anime fans like most of you guys in threads like these.

This isn't supposed to be an attack on anyone or anything, if you want to play Saturn, that's fine, but don't be aggressive and say "Why aren't you playing Saturn? Saturn is the best, you know that!" It's just not a priority to me, sorry. And there are a variety of reasons why I don't have one.

But yeah you need to be into imports and be at least a bit familiar with moonspeak in order to fully enjoy the system. There's definitely more to it than shooters. If you like platformers/action games, I recommend you check out Psychic Killer Taromaru, it's one of these ridiculously expensive games due to being very low-print originally, but that's why there's options like Pseudosaturn or installing a modchip to play backups.
