i remember beating this game with minimal trouble as a kid, but now its seems a lot hard than it used to.

just as good as rogue squadron is shadows of the empire. dash rendar was so badass.

I thought Shadows of the Empire sucked myself.

The Naboo fighter is fast enough and well-armed enough to make a scene, I think. It's a fun drive.

My reaction was confusion, I guess. I didn't expect an outdated starfighter to be playable.

The Incom T-65 X-Wing is the fighter that killed the Death Star. An almost perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, and defensive shields makes this the fighter of choice for Rogue Squadron except when the mission profile disallows it. In addition to four blaster connons, the X-Wing can carry a number proton torpedoes. It's powered by four fusial thrust engines and requires an on board astromech droid for peak performance.

If you're following the directions listed and it's not working, then does extracting the files also give you a disc image? ISO? You might need to mount it with something like Daemon Disc Mounting.

Yes

Requirements

Time: 400:00
Enemies: 1300
Accuracy: 8%
Friendlies Lost: 0
Lives Lost: 12
Targeting Computer Efficiency: 0%

You can lose 12 lives because every 10 waves you get a life. Accuracy is whats hard here because there are so many enemies its harder to get 8% than you think.

Only missions I found vicious where the one in the volcano in the Y fighter and the one just before the end, where you had an X-Wing and had to a fuckton of enemies and then a boss at the end inside a modified shuttle thing.

Was stuck on the volcano one for months then out of the blue I finished it, no clue what I did different, the other was tough but the R2 unit will repair the X-Wing so I just did strafing runs on the boss and let the R2 do his thing, took forever but I won.

Final mission was ez pz in comparison.

I hated it. I will immediately disclaim that you're not idiots for liking it. I feel like the weird one hating it. But I played every game in the series and just couldn't ever get into it. Combat felt slow and disjointed, missions felt pointless, commanding my squad seemed to have no effect on the game, I found none of the ships fun to fly, fuck I didn't even feel any excitement about shooting down a TIE fighter.

I always wanted to like it too. I would put Star Fox 64 among my top 5 favorite games of all time.

This game was insanely popular and I just have no fucking clue why.
