Isn't emulating on a laptop with usb control the most comfy way to play retro games. Now, is there an OS, emulators, or specific lag to minimize lag?

>> No.4013494

>>4013386
Some laptops have very little lag. Playing fighting games on the Thinkpad X201 feels about as good as playing on low-lag monitors like the Asus ones they use in fighting game tournaments. (but you have to disable v-sync)

>> No.4013496

>>4013386
oh, and you'll want to use Retroarch with the hard GPU sync and Final Burn Alpha core for lowest lag. I use Xubuntu Linux as my OS.

>> No.4013620

>>4013496

Why use gpu sync? Are there different methods of sync to use?

Why do people have to make a point of playing games on physical consoles. It's as bad of a trend as vinyl snobs.

Emulation is da fucking best

>> No.4013934

Emulator is the best way to play or test or capture picture.
But retro people need full childhood memories.
Previously, my actual hardware was only for collection.
One day I got an old CRT TV and I was tried to test my old collection
I stop use emulator in until now.(only for game cartridge I have)

Just plug the composite plug into my TV or clean the cartridge before use. can make me fun then .

I am trying using Higan v102 to play SNES games. Any game I load up has very bad FPS problems and can't maintain a consistent 60fps at any time. The games I tried to play don't even have enhancement chips. I am running Windows 7 in high performance mode and have an i5-4690 and GTX 970. Running the program CPU-Z shows that my CPU is indeed running at full clock speed. What is wrong?
