This board is way more organized and with actual discussions and not all LOLSORANDUMXD. And I love it. It's a totally different world and environment from /v/.

/vr/ gets slower every day. Once it reaches /jp/'s speed and it's tripfags gained enough reputation to derail decent threads just by posting in them once, it's over. People will also get tired talking about the same games, so even the big threads like HOMM and RCT will die out slowly. Only circle-jerking and private conversations between tripfags will remain and moot will delete /vr/. The big threads go to /vg/ for a while but quickly die out over there.

At least i think that will happen in a few months.

I don't think it'll be any of that. It's been acknowledged many times that the strength of /vr/ is in it's older userbase.
Once they (we) start feeling like it's being taken over by immature shitposting scum, then it'll be /v/ 2.5.

For now though, it looks like we're okay. You still got me.

There's so many old games I'm still getting around to playing, I can see myself posting here for quite a while. I mostly just prefer the fact that we're talking about vidya and virtually nothing else, plus I like slow boards - I don't even go to /v/ anymore.

The only thing I could do without is the 1-post "HYE GUYS REMEMBER THIS N64 GAME NOSTALGIA AMIRITE?" threads. "Remember this?" bullshit with no discussion. Luckily those have tapered off, but in the first few days of /vr/ they were 50% of the board's content, and I was somewhat concerned.

in the first few days i had some massive help getting winaue up and running and have been having a great time playing some old dungeon crawlers. posting pretty consistently since then.

i get worried when i see a chrono trigger thread devolve into the standard argument about it vs. chrono cross though. or the earthbound threads that seem to get a lot of activity every day, it doesn't seem to me that many people are civil in those threads. posting one seems just like a good way to have an argument if you want one.
