You're clearly a casual hipster, and you're not going to be good enough.

No, dude. I got an NES, SNES, N64 and all that jazz. I also have at least 100 video games in total. I just don't have Mega Man 1, so stop judging people you homosexual

FCEUX. Caveat: my knowledge is a decade out of date.

We have a sticky for stuff like this.

Literally any of the popular ones will work. NES emulation is close enough to perfect that there's no real fucking difference. I suggest mednafen in case you ever want to play a multiplayer game online.

I like Nestopia. FCEUx/FCEUmm works.

Nestopia core via retroarch with hard gpu sync set to 0 and as much frame delay as your CPU can handle.

Gotta curb those input lags.

Input lag becomes less of an issue in Retroarch if you lower the audio latency

ZNES is the best, my nigga.

There is almost no "lag" in these emulators. Stop kidding yourself if you think you notice 1-5ms of delay

Try playing Pokemon with it and realize you were wrong

Nestopia.

>> No.3992037

I think Nestopia is a solid choice for most general cases. High accuracy, fast, easy to set up. If you need a lot of features or plugins, go with FCEUX.

Pokemon? On NES?

>> No.3992072

Everytime an e celeb plays a new game there is a thread like this.

I really hope the people making these threads are trolling but they're really not.

>> No.3992101

Nestopia UE, puNES, or Mesen.

BizHawk if you want something robust, RetroArch if you want shaders.

>> No.3992218

Nestopia UE
