You don't level up in it, you have items but no equipable equipment, and there you don't have stats you can change in anyway.

Most of those are action adventure games with light rpg mechanics. IoG is only "rpg" like in that it has a leveling system. Terranigma is a true rpg as you level up as well as have different equipment.
