My friend owned armored core on PS1, we use to play it alot, he believed in SPEED AND SKILL WILL SAVE THE DAY while I just made the biggest, heaviest piece of shit I could, and would throw down against him with it and consistently win.

One time he thought he was gonna be smart and go for a build that constantly shuts down lock-on targeting against his core, and he ended up having to retreat from me a few times and went on top of a building, my thrusters could only carry me to near the top of the building and then would overheat, I managed to throw myself into an angle over this building, shot him manually dead on with bazooka, and dropped off over the other side of the building, I was losing my fucking mind after just pulling that shit off, and he was losing his shit after being beaten so throughly and was crying and whimpering at me "Why can't I beat you, why can't I win, maybe I should just make a fat piece of shit too...".

That shit was real fucking awkward, trying to talk him down.

I was that sibling. I'm so sorry. I didn't understand how stupid it was to do that.

When I was a kid, my mom made me hang out with a fucking psychopath. I would tell her that he was insane, but she felt bad for him, so clearly I was doing a fucking service to humanity by tolerating him.

One time we were playing some biking game on his dreamcast, and I was trying to lose to appease this maniac. I was just mashing buttons, but he was somehow doing worse than I was. He started crying, and eventually I just put the controller down to stop winning, but by this point he was inconsolable and thrashing around. He ended up throwing his dreamcast at the wall and breaking it, and throwing his controller at me and giving me a black eye, and then I went home. I told my mom what happened, but because he's clearly a troubled young boy, she made me feel bad for making him mad.

Oh, and another time he chased me around his house with a knife for not letting him play my pokemon gold.

Fortunately for me, his meth addict mother later won custody of him and he moved to a different state, and I haven't heard from him since.

One of my friends was like OP's pic but one step further. He would sometimes turn of the game and just go home if he was losing badly. It was so annoying. The only games you could ever hope to play with him were coop games.

He usually came over to my house to play because he didn't have any consoles. His mother wouldn't allow it.

Had this guy we kinda new in college, he used to play Melee with us before Brawl came out. Nothing special, pretty much everyone played but this guy... he turned into a tourneyfag real quick. Reset matches he was about to lose, no items, got super huttburt about any "cheap tactics". So my friends and I would shit talk him a lot because despite the way he acted he wasn't too great at the game. Later on this guy eventually found Peach and became decent.
I remember the funniest thing was that my friend called him out saying that Peach's down smash was cheap and that only fags spam it. So he stopped doing it. Like... we call everything cheap because it's funny but he actually took us seriously and we started laughing even more. He started getting all mad about "Well you guys said it was cheap and blah blah" and we just told him to man up and play however he wants. He just tarded out about everything.
Anyway we started trying to avoid the guy but he never really took the hint. Dunno what he's doing now.

I was with a couple of friends playing Star Fox 64 around the time it originally came out and despite not owning the game at the time I was beating ass in the multiplayer. After consistently showing them the superiority of Peppy they started trying to gang up on me and STILL couldn't beat me as I was doing barrel rolls and loops and dodging all their shit. They had to resort to throwing blankets on me and pulling my controller out out of the socket.

Afterward all they wanted to play was Goldeneye and I was terrible at it.

Well this same friend ended up banning me from playing goldeneye on his n64 for a month simply because he was complaining I was too good at the game and he needed to train. I actually played the shit out of the Tenkaichi series and Budokai 2 and 3, they were my favorite games, but I lost interest after they moved to PS3

I have an older brother, so there's no way I would have gotten away with being like that without getting my ass kicked. Not that I was the sort of kid to throw tantrums and stuff anyway.
I do remember a kid my age (maybe 11 at the time?) came over to my house crying one time because he'd borrowed my cheat cart for GB and he didn't use it properly and it deleted his pokemon save. I have this one fucking friend who used to start pausing and unpausing Pro Evo Soccer right when you were about to shoot so that your power bar would get fucked up and you'd miss. It used to be annoying as hell but I couldn't help but laugh. I never met anybody else who did something like that so I appreciated it nonetheless.

He still does bullshit like that even today with Fifa '13 actually. He doesn't do the pause/unpause thing anymore (not usually anyway) but during a penalty that I'm taking he'll start doing stupid shit to make me laugh while taking it. Usually makes me fuck it up, too.
