A videogame of photography and somewhat interactive landscaping on a system on years when it was unthinkable it was something, and then you add to the basket the personality of one the most popular franchise of the country.

Konami really need to stop being such faggots and let the Goemon Team make a new game.
The last one was in 2005 for the DS and it was one of the best in the series, they ditched all the bullshit from the "new generation goemon" and went back to the roots.
They made a Goemon pachislot machine (with a great CG movie, I still remember when I saw the video of it on youtube I almost shat my pants thinking it was a new gen Goemon game), and I think some ports of old games for cellphones in Japan, but other than that the franchise seems to be frozen... >capcom cancelled a good deal of megaman titles that were coming (such as legends and an MMO) and then it got this phone version with auto play for it's 25th anniversary.

Wait, that shit hasn't been cancelled?

5 Years?, i'd say like 8, with Nintendo it's enough to buried it (and SF is in danger). Don't call a minigame something to say it's alive, just don't.

>>391092

Too many games per year and some of those are irrelevant, it's just a third party not an exclusive one.

Remind me why Drill Dozer is on there twice.

OP, Milon's secret castle had a sequel on the SNES!

Do Re Mi something or other. There's a dejap rom. I definitely prefer the orignal though. The snes one reminds me too much of kirby.

I don't consider an IP dead unless it had at least 1 or 2 other installments. Chrono Trigger/Cross doesn't really count, imo, so really shouldn't be on the list.

>People talking about Pokemon Snap
Pokemon isn't dead, so it also doesn't count, as much as I'd also love to have another Snap (and TCG) game. The game was cheesy, but at the time it was full of mystery, like figuring out how to get the best pictures or finding out how to get specific Pokemon to appear (or even evolve).

>>389720
Should have been in the top row.

>Metroid talk
I consider it dead, no 3DS game mentioned, nest we'll likely see of Samus is Smash.

That happened with Street Fighter (multiple times, actually), but they managed to bring it back.

Yeah, I know there's been mumbling about Darkstalkers 4 but I'll believe it when I see it.

So I guess you don't count mobile games, because Tapper and Ty are both getting new games.

I don't, but that's because I feel that it doesn't fit the same 'category' as gaming as PC, handheld or console gaming does. It's weird.

I know its only a spiritual successor, and the RS2 in the beginning is good enough for me, but...

How is For the Frog the Bell Tolls not dead? Did it get like a Japanese VC release or something? Cause even then its still pretty dead, plus there's a bunch of other things that get ported around too.

Yeah, because Kid Icarus, Metroid, Advance Wars and many other series didn't come back after not getting a game for 8 years.

Fair enough, but sadly it's not the trend with Nintendo even being unpredictable as they are.
