post your favorite games or some shit!

The best PS1 game is clearly Silent Hill. I really wish I could play it for the first time again. The plot is genuinely creepy. Alone in a dark foggy town, searching for your daughter with only vague leads. Very surreal and strange atmosphere.

I must admit, the last half seems a bit scrambled with all the smaller areas that you have to visit. I wouldn't say it's too short though.

I've been messing around with Advanced Variable Geo 2 and Pepsiman after seeing them mentioned here and they're both pretty good.

Anyone know if Aconcagua can be completed without being able to read moon? I know most of the voiceovers are already in english.

Yes, I know the cover art is gay but this game is seriously a masterpiece

Its an rpg with a unique real-time battle system. Very accessible unlike most rpgs, i recommend it to anyone

Pausing every time you want to attack counts as real-time?

Anyway, I thought the game was a bit mediocre.Too many empty areas, repetitive combat and vagrant story is the same thing but better.

You'll definitely want to play Oddysee first simply because of dat atmosphere and the fact that you'll appreciate the improvements in the sequel much more.

Well I was able to take down most anything by pulverizing it with the hammer, the puzzles weren't too bad, and the only difficult thing was navigating the otherworld because of inverted locks. The boss fight at the merry go round is pretty tough if you don't get the chemical which is fairly hidden. Other than that, I just found it easy, completed it in a night.

Also, the final boss, what a fucking joke.

Still catching up on PS1 titles because I had an N64 as a kid.

So far my favorite is Persona 2: Innocent Sin.

I punched Philemon and I would do it again.

I played it right when it came out so I don't really remember it very well, I just remember enjoying it alot and thinking it didn't deserve the negative scores it was getting. IIRC it had nothing to do with original at all, if they would have just called it something different and people wouldn't compare it to the original I think it would have found more fans

those XG3 racing games on the n64!!!

>> No.398394

The dread and uneasiness of the game kind of fucked with my gameplay, making it seem a lot harder than it really was. Being "survival horror" I'd say that is a good thing (though I guess if you aren't nervous/unnerved the game could come across as easier). I think SH3 handled the enemies and weapons a lot better, making it preferable to run from most hostility (since the enemies were more tedious and you generally sucked at using your weapons). SH1 is still my favorite game in the series and it created quite an unforgettable experience when all is said and done.
