Does Dreamcast have any good game-games. You know, the games you actually want to invest your time in, games that have depth etc. most of the Dreamcast game library seems to be arcade games and arcade ports, which are fine, but sometimes I want to play games that really touch my soul and jiggle my feels.

Got one a few months ago, since i never got one as a teen.
SEGA arcade ports are amazing, but there is great console-only stuff too. There is no console out there that captures "gaming" quite so well. The average game is fast-paced and fun.
It's even my go-to party console. It plays, looks and entertains friends better than anything on the Wii. I almost wish i never got a ps2. I can pick up almost anything on the DC and it's fun, not so much on ps2, even at release when only a few games were available.

In my opinion the Dreamcast was the opposite of what OP said. It's nothing like the Saturn - it has much better technology - but far fewer games whereas the Saturn had a fantastic library.

OK, let's take an example, just to show you what I mean: Skies of Arcadia. The GCN version had bonus content and a better encounter rate. But you know what it didn't have? Full-quality music. Now, you can argue the music sounds just fucking fine anyway (and you'd probably be right), but the fact remains: the music is as intended only on the DC.

Graphics are noticeably different (better or worse, depending on the target system) in almost all DC ports too.

This is the example of the non-gaming "gaming" culture that ruins modern gaming. You dumb ass faggot arcade style games ARE THE PUREST FUCKING GAMES THERE ARE. Those are actual games that have actual depth. 99% of your "muh feels" RPG's have almost no depth at all, you just think they do because you're a brain dead retard. A bunch of battle system menu screens and options aren't "depth" unless they have a meaningful impact on the strategy possibilities within the game. Most RPG's and the like are brain dead simple. It's just equipping the strongest attack you have them mashing the attack button over and over again which is why a brain dead monkey can beat almost every RPG that exists.

Arcade games are the Chess equivalent of the video game world as there is typically no real end goal or "beating" of the game. The goal is to be the best via a superior score, fastest completion speed or whatever primary ranking system the developer has included to separate the best players from the not quite as good.

This is why I always say that the Dreamcast was the best console relative to the time it was on the market. I've owned most of the major consoles since the 1980's since near or at launch and the Dreamcast was without a doubt the greatest 18 months of gaming I ever had. If you bought one on launch day in 1999 the density of the library and releases was incredible. The launch lineup was awesome and until the console was discontinued there was a damn near awesome game, if not several, nearly every month. Combined with it's other features (online out of the box, could hook it up via VGA to my computer monitor, etc) it was just incredible.

That said in 2017 as a retro console I agree that the Saturn is FAR superior as it just has a fucking shit ton of awesome and quirky games we will likely never see again.
