No, those secret rooms I circled. In the reverse, there is a Katana in there. It's a nice weapon and not super broken like the end game Katanas.

Did you get the jewel sword at the entrance? Because that is not a breakable wall.

You also didn't know about the Life apple/Jewel Sword room just to the southwest of those.

Seriously, how is anyone supposed to figure that shit out besides the most unlikely of dumb luck? Or a guide of course.

Also, you're not SUPPOSED to find it, but there's this room that was left in the game:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbWVFPEntE8 skip forward about 2m

It is supposed to lead to a new area that only made it to the Saturn version.

Also in Outer Wall if you stand still in that spot where you get the pot roast, an elevator takes you to the room below.

True that. I've found the most efficient way to level up after greater knights stop giving good exp is the same way to power level familiars; just run in and out of the cathedral room with the spectral sword and spam room clear items. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPMdp8HGajk

This guy is actually being kind of inefficient; you can just rock back and forth on the dpad while alternating button presses for pentagrams. You don't need to run completely into the room, just barely changing screens is good enough.

What are you doing at this point? Harassing the Guardians at the reverse castle? Just as this >>3889368 said, the exp at that level is so minimal. I remember at around lvl 65, they only give single digit amount of exp to you.

Does Symphony keep time from previous playthroughs on a NG+ file or are you trying to do a completionist run?

>> No.3889420

The Axe Lord Armor, there is actually a way to get it without using the Axe Lord Armor cheat. I got this one by pure luck.

Remember the bone pillars at the Chapel, the last one you always ignore because the spike ball will come down to you after climbing the long stairs? Hitting the spike ball produces 1 damage, and its a test of patience if you're going to kill it via normal weapons (its killable of course, just take too much time).

Kill the spike ball with Crissaegrim, to make the process faster. It will drop the Axe Lord armor eventually. I got it when I was having fun of 2 Crissaegrims and thinking of enemies to cheese from, got the spike ball enemy at the chapel and had my fun on it.

>Does Symphony keep time from previous playthroughs on a NG+
Not that I know of. There really isn't a NG+ in the sense that you get to keep all your old stuff. You just get some unlocks on subsequent playthroughs(ring of varda, duplicator and sound test, perhaps more.)
It's also been awhile, but iirc those unlock for all saves- so no need to NG+ if you want the extra goodies, I could be wrong though.

Also, completionist. I just want to see how much of the game I can uncover. This thing is just jam-packed with secrets and hidden gems. Like the shield rod making the little defensors from Gradius, the sword that when thrown spells "Verbotten"("Forbidden" in German, also, the spelling may be off), to the more obvious like the confession room with that eerie track that is used for that one room alone.

>>3889394

Once you reach that point, it becomes about how fast you can get that 1xp at a time, and the cathedral room seems to be *the* spot. Though I'd be open to anything better.

Now that is something. I only stop hitting it until it drops the ring of arcana.

Of course, it was the time where we bought magazines for cheat codes, so I guess this is another one of the few secrets that I missed.

they do not, once you beat the final boss, whether it's Shaft, or Dracula, that's the game. One can play Sand box mode after it and dick around for more secrets, but that's it. you'll hafta start a new file which the game recognizes that you beat it for extra stuff, or Richter and Maria IF you have a Saturn or on PSP

You can pretty much get anywhere (slowly) with the Heart Refresh glitch. In fact, you can "waterfall" any part of the game and move downwards until you hit the bottom of the map grid. Map glitching is somewhat of a passtime for some people, and they deem the "waterfall" as cheating. Barring such tactics, you can still fill out way more of the map than ever intended, as shown in >>3889538.

I got that room on casual play throughs multiple times by accident because the series of rooms leading back left to the entrance favor the wolf form's dash and I would do autistic shit like change into the bat in the cave as seamlessly as possible.

I can only guess testers did similar shit and someone figured it'd be cool to put a secret there.

Don't you hate how Alucard flies backwards whenever you're hit?

If you can make it to 100 def, then Alucard will no longer have flinch animations; you can freely run through enemies all you want and you won't bat an eye(you do still take "scratch" damage: 1hp usually).

Please note: Actually getting 100 def is quite hard, and only possible with shield pots/leather shield + shield rod, and/or map glitching for godly walk armor(the def of this scales with map % uncovered, even if the uncovered map is "illegal" as seen here >>3889538 ).

I'd love to replay through SotN some time since I've been playing through the DS Castlevania's lately. SotN is still one of my favorite games ever, I remember I also had both a Richter mode file and an Axearmor mode file (for shits and giggles) but I never managed to complete either. Wonder if my laptop can emulate the PS1 version well, cause it's a lot comfier to do that than bust out my 360. I wouldn't mind getting 200.6% again or finishing Richter mode.
