Are the any NES controllers, be they official or third party, with both a turbo feature and a d-pad that isn't dogshit like pic related?

Sansui Joycard SSS if you want to go expensive meme route.

I enjoy these Dendy-style controllers myself. They're cheap, and they feel comfortable in the hand with the Famicom-style rounded design. And the round D-pad is way more comfortable than the original in some games. They unfortunately break after a while though.

If you have a spare NES-cord laying around, you can solder a Neo Geo extension cord connector onto it, and it will work.

You can't use a standard DB-15 connector unfortunately, the Famicom expansion port doesn't adhere to the industry standard perfectly.

So what was that red circle shit in the center of the d-pad anyway?
I remember it hurting my thumb as a kid.

You're supposed to slide it around.
It's okay for top-down games, but shit for sidescrollers.

Would have been better as a rubber rounded nub.
That concave thing could really cut into the thumb.
It was an otherwise excellent controller. Fit in my hand better than the SNES controller.

I don't know why Nintendo insisted on making the buttons layouts go to the upper right instead of the lower right. Nobody holds their controller in a way that makes upper right feel comfortable.

I said a d-pad that wasn't dogshit, anon.

In what very specific situation are you needing a good dpad and turbo function anyway?

Just use standard controller for everything and use the shitty one with turbo the rare times you need it.

I've actually played SMB using an Advantage with the joystick ball removed as a handheld controller. The A and B buttons getting caught at an angle caused more problems than having a stick for a D-pad.

>> No.3884785

You can get a Four Score/ Satellite and add Turbo to the existing controllers.

I bought one for $4 recently?? As in two weeks ago. These tend to have broken solder joints at the PCB or shorts in the cord...Easily fixed. Buy one that is advertised as broken or junk and fix it.

I've had the advantage forever and that is reallly my only real problem with it. The buttons getting stuck, it fucking sucks.
