Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is like a 3D remake of Ganbare Goemon 3.

Goemon's Great Adventure is like a remake of Ganbare Goemon 2/4, which themselves are like remake versions of the original games, so it makes sense that they could be considered more faithful to the series.

That said almost all of them are good. The only ones I haven't played are the NES sequel (I should get around to it), NES RPGs, and the PS ones, which I hear are bad 3D ones or decent 2D ones.

It makes me sad the franchise is pretty much dead.
