ITT: Random things / memories that you associate with different games based on what you were doing while playing them. Pic related.

I'll start. Recently, I was playing through Breath of Fire 4, and for whatever reason I started watching a ton of Judge Judy on YouTube. It got to the point where I would even watch other "Judge" shows. Aside from Judge Judy, I really like Judge Jeanine Pirro. So now whenever I think about the game, I automatically associate it with Judge Judy.

tl;dr Judy > Pirro > Fou Lu

I had this babysitter named Lisa when I was a little guy, she would watch my brother and I, take us to the park, put on some of our favorite morning TV shows, made us these peanut butter, raisin, and celery snacks she called ants on a log, and would let us play her NES, I remember BattleToads, and Trog! specifically.

Would be nice knowing what ever became of her. I'm sure she dropped us because my parents were awful, either that or she had some awful habits I never noticed. That always seems to be the way with my family.

I was at a friend's once, playing through super mario world, spent the last couple days of that summer at his house and enjoyed every moment.

That's a shame. Trog is great though, wish more people played it.

>parents don't get along, mainly because dad is pretty lazy
>mom goes somewhere one day and leaves dad with a list of shit to do
>instead me, him, and my younger brother play Golden Axe 2 all day
>he makes us bologna sandwiches and we drink pepsi
>mom comes home and finds minimal work done and she flips shit

Now my mother's wrath and the taste of bologna and pepsi are forever associated with Golden Axe 2

I had a cracked copy of quake back in the day and played it a lot.

For some reason I had an Eagles cd in the tray, hell freezes over, and never bothered to take it out.

Every time I hear thsme eagles now I think about shooting shamble's or dodging grenades and shotgunning knights.

I did something similar with Monkey Island CD ROM (not pirate) and Simply Red Greatest Hits. Now those songs always bring to mind the game.

My older brother and I used to share a bedroom. We had a TV and a Playstation, and I used to play Final Fantasy Tactics a ton, put over 100 hours on a single save file. He used to do homework and put on music, and then he'd go out with friends but just leave the stereo playing music when he left. I was usually too lazy to get up and turn off the music, so I would just listen to and enjoy the albums he'd play while grinding out my character's job levels.

Now I will forever associate Final Fantasy Tactics with late 90s popular music like Third Eye Blind, Ben Folds Five, Fountains of Wayne, Blink 182, etc.

Back in the day the town I grew up in was hit with a blizzard that closed our school for a couple days. On those days I would wade through the snow to the room above my garage, wrap up in a blanket (since there was no heat up there) and play ToeJam & Earl 2. I always think of this game whenever I'm snowed up inside my house.
