Mother fuckin Mutant League Hockey! I love this game because I rented it at a local video store and some fuck up happened which resulted in them receiving the game without me returning it. I'll never solve that mystery.

It's hard to pick, I like a lot of sports games for different reasons. I enjoy watching live basketball, American football, MMA, etc. but I appreciate each as their own games with their own kind of rules, similar to how I can enjoy shooting games and JRPGs, can be different but enjoyable in many ways. That's why I cannot ever pick "best" things.

That being said, since I am not a hockey fan, but remembered NES Ice Hockey was pretty fun on a demo kiosk for the NES. I had the crazy thought that I should try out some hockey games and maybe learn the game, and I recently got NHL '94 for the Sega CD, but I should also get that NES Ice Hockey and Blades of Steel, maybe even the Wayne Gretsky's 3D one on N64. I hear the lolicon's favorite parts of hockey is before the first period.

It's always strange for me to hear people not like sports games when I find a lot of fun to be had with them.

Madden 08 is considered one of the best versions, and its updated PC mods make it the defacto football option for pc users.

Links 2003 (pc) is still one of the best golf games if you dislike the 3D of TW and The Golf Club/Perfect Golf.

Grand Prix Legends (pc) is a true classic racing game/sim. Theres been a guy working on the Isle of Man track for 10+ years, with still no end in sight. Check it out here:

I like the SegaCD one since it is the classic Jam without substitutions and injury stats. The Tournament Edition releases (32X and PS) only allows for substitutions at the start and halftime, so at some point a player may have to play with a less than optimal character for a half, if a player gets too injured (slower). I think they all feel great to play, but the 32X version does not have load times.
