Don't think I didn't notice the lack of an Amiga thread in the last few days.
I don't tolerate that kind of shit around here.

How many people played Chaos Engine? It was probably my favorite Amiga game. I completed it at least once with every character, and probably around 10 times total. I don't replay games that much, so it's a significant number for me.

There are six characters with different weapons, special abilities, speed and health, and the levels have multiple pathways (which can make some areas of the level inaccessible), multiple exits (which determine where you start the next level and how you can progress through it), and secrets and traps everywhere. You can collect treasure throughout the levels to upgrade your character's attributes and buy items and extra lives and such. Your partner is computer controlled if you're playing alone, and as far as I can remember he does a pretty good job.

There is weird backtracking secrets bitmap brothers style. Something similar to "Gods" Also another good game on amiga.

Personally i have more fun with Battlemaster.

Help with finding a game

>Character looks like Ryu or some generic karate fighter
>The camera is placed facing his back
>Simulated 3D corridors as in those rpg's like Eye of the Beholder, but I repeat, you see the character from the back, no first person view
>You jump holes in mentioned corridors
>Amiga 500

WTF was this game? I was too young to remember but I swear I watched my uncle playing it. He says Elvira, but no, it's not Elvira.

Just noticed that Team17 is making a HD remake of Superfrog.

If anyone doesn't know Superfrog, it's a really cool platformer.

Holy shit, already awesome thread.

To fully experience the awesome that is the Amiga, you need WHDLoad and the games packed for it.

http://www.whdload.de/

Use google for the rest.

Also use Amikit to have a newer Amiga experience
>http://amikit.amiga.sk/index.php
This basically is a "modern" OS within an true Amiga 1200 (with a HD mind you) or anything related to emulation.

I'm reinstalling Amiga Forever (Legal Amiga emulator if you don't live under a rock) and I forgot about dream17. Its a site where you can legally download Amiga titles from Team 17. I'm downloading Super Frog and Worms1. Another good site is Cinemaware. You have to register, but you can install games like Defender of the Crown, Rocket Ranger, The Three Stooges, and others. If you want to give Amiga Emulation a try then these are some sites I recommend.

If you want to run Amiga OS, but run modern software then I suggest giving Aros* (Amiga-like for x86) a try. If you have a PPC Macintosh (check compatibility first) then I suggest Morph OS (it costs money, but its free to run). There is also Amiga 4.x, but I don't recommend it since the hardware to run it costs a arm and a leg.

*Still in Alpha and or Incomplete.

With a emulator, no. If you are playing on a real classic Amiga then it will depend on the game. Some games were released in the US, but most were released in Europe.

I played the one on SNES called Soldiers of Fortune. Made it to the final boss, but it's a clusterfuck of missiles and projectiles.
I had to use a $money$ code to best it.
