How does Doom 4 tie into Doom 1/2/64?
Doom guy is implicitly the same fellow having been trapped in Hell, ripping and tearing, but UAC has never heard of him, so he's not that guy who refused to shoot unarmed civilians. Unless he's been fighting in Hell so long (until he was refrigerated) that the universe as we know it did a full loop

can those same people stream with a different program any better (at the same quality)?

I sometimes watch random friends on steam play games; people that never stream at all or don't know that steam broadcasting existed

it's always been perfectly fine...

Hmmm, now that you mention it.

Only a couple people I know of has tried both, using OBS to stream on either Hitbox or Twitch compared to using Steam broadcast. Both were pretty bad on Steam but good on the streamsite. But, well, two does not a reliable test group make.
There might be some external factor at work.

Man, what's the deal with Doom 2 in Name Only?
I really want to enjoy it and it's a great concept, but the maps seem to take only the worst of D2 and Doom games in general.
I just finished The Crusher and fucking DESPISED every single second of it, and Dead Simple seems an unfun clusterfuck even (especially?) after killing the Spider.
Am I weird for saying I'd rather replay D2 for the trillionth time than go on with that?
Any other opinions?

You know since the engine works almost like Zdoom with SLADE3 compatible package files, it will be probably a breeze making custom.. everything.

Speaking off modding, I've managed to rewrite DoomShock's weapon sprite drawer from hudmessage (blech) to A_WeaponOffset. Means better performance, infinitely more sensible decorate (yay, actual sprite names) and compatibility with dynamic light, sector color etc.

You don't know just how lucky you are to have stopped instead of putting literally a hour and a half into it to examine every single passage again and again until you get to the right one because, hey, maps -do- get better once you get over the now-devoid-of-enemies labyrinths right?
No, the map gives you a huge, disappointing, anger-inducing, unfun FUCK YOU, putting you in an unexitable square labyrinth filled with cocoas (hey, that's not bad right?) that FLY OVER WALLS (ok, so it may get a it clusterfucky but it's not that-) and bakes the shit by filling it with ARCH-VILES. Yes. Obviously they DO revive the cacos even if they die on top of the wallsOh did I mention said room has NO HEALTH BONUSES and generally nothing besides a fuckload of rocket (YES, ROCKETS IN A LABYRINTH) ammo?.
I spent TWO HOURS getting to the end, trying again and again, to get to the end and SURPRISE the ceiling comes down on you and you can't really avoid it, you just have to get the megasphere and run to the start

It's one of those "use it for a tight situation" weapons for me, not quite as expendable as say Doom's rocket launcher or plasma cannon.

Just over a year ago, somebody here said they listened to New Retro Wave while playing "Back to Saturn X".

Out of interest I started listening to NRW and holy shit over that time I found the music genre I actually can say I listen to the most and you were right anon, it's fucking *great* for Doom.

To that guy, thanks.

That's the consoles' fault. They can't handle AI this complex when there's more than a dozen of them. It's not about quality, it's about the effort. Ironic jokewads are no different from shitting on a canvas and calling it art, it's effortless and due to the fact that it can't be criticized (it's bad on purpose!) it leads to no growth or knowledge gained by the creator, while at the same time still being fellated by his peers.

I've played plenty of "my first wads" that were not particularly good but I still hold them in a much higher regard than any jokewad, at least the creator was trying, not something a lot of people do these days what with this disgusting spread of ironic culture.

Name enemies that DOOMGUY would have a problem dealing with.

I'll do two and start us off.

CREEPER/PARTICULATE: It's not like the demons, it's just mindless fucking goo and particles floating about destroying everything in it's wake. You can't just shoot it to death, you have to wade through and destroy it's several cores. This is extremely problematic for doomguy because this thing is known to wipe out civilizations, it's a goddamn tide of goo. No goo-wall demons... yet. This is also a severe problem for doomguy because, outside of the enviroment and architecture of his surroundings, and using knowledge of individual monsters- he is not inherently a tactician.- the players however tend to be. The goo is... goo.

Glacial Behemoth; Ancient BUYDLC meme aside, this motherfucker is spewing liquid nitrogen at you. This is going to freeze and slow your ass down, Doomguy does not like this. He likes fast. Fortunate for doomguy, he has huge guts- on his outsides. Don't ask why.

He seems to be legitimately mute this time around- despite his grunts and screams in the prior.

He still enjoys playing with toys, and sometimes acts with them extensively. It would be surmised that in any attempts to speak, he would instead pull out several small toys to demonstrate what he means.

Hot damn, that last level was fun. Armed to the teeth with rockets, grenades, gasoline, and bullets, just let your whole arsenal loose and blow/burn everything the fuck up. The lack of a final boss style encounter, like facing off with one last juggernaut, made the level's end feel kind of lackluster, and the end terminal's placement was kinda odd.
Overall, really fun game and I'm excited to start Marathon 2, would recommend playing if you haven't tried it yet.
