A Sega genesis model 2, with two controllers, and 7 games for $50. I have two bundles up, ones' cheaper though

Some one bought it but returned it because he said it was causing green lines on his TV

Turns out he had it hooked up to an HDTV

I refunded his money because he said he wanted to buy an N64 from me and I want to keep him as a customer.

Your post directly related to our discussion of games from Craigslist. I didn't interpret your sage as a downvote, I interpreted it as a cry for attention. Threads have a hard enough time staying bumped on /vr/ as it is.

>> No.367391

>>367341
Yeah, but you have to remember how this board works (And, actually, how 4chan used to work as a whole). Threads like these can last for days, even weeks with proper attention, and with the catalog, finding them is even easier than before. There's very little need to keep bumping threads. He was saging correctly, as am I, in that I do not feel my post is relevant enough to bump the topic back up. Its not about the topic itself, it's about your own personal post.

Ever since 2007 when /v/ in particular became hugely populated saging has pretty much lost its actual purpose but it's definitely in full swing here.

It's essentially just a loose cart with a sleeve. Given that the map is an obvious fake, I'm cynical enough to believe that the box is a repo, too.

Generic sleeves, too, and not the original stock sleeve which had the metallic red Nintendo logo.

It's just another example of dumbfucks thinking their retro vidya is worth a lot more than it actually is. I've seen those Mario 2&3 carts he's got in the background go for more than gold cart LoZ.

Hey /vr/, I am looking for your help in a personal quest of mine.

When I was younger, Secret of Mana was one of my favorite games. I'd play it co-op with my little sister and brother (two at a time; I'd play the boy, she'd play the girl, and he'd play the sprite).

When I was around 11, I lent it to my cousin and the bastard sold it. I found it went I was 14 in a local games shop; I knew it was mine because my mom had written my name on the back in permanent marker and it had been crossed out.

Despite how ecstatic I was to see it, I didn't have enough money to buy it back at the time and I missed the opportunity, because the games shop shut down a few weeks later. It wasn't until the last few years that I realized how much that game truly meant to me and how symbolic it has become of a time in my childhood when my siblings and I could spend time with our parents and all get along together.

So, my request to you is if you have a Secret of Mana cartridge that you purchased second-hand or you run across one in the future, please check to see if there is a crossed out name on the back. My name is Anthony and I am willing to buy this cartridge from you.

Most of those games in those conditions I would pay around 5 -10 bucks for given the condition and availability of most of those, so a price range of 60 - 120 for all. If you're getting the supaboy as well then it's definitely worth it as they go for about 80 bucks new (I was only able to find one used for 50 bucks online). I found Earthbound to be brutally unforgiving, especially when considering all the debilitating effects that enemies can afflict your party with. Maybe I'm just bad at JRPGs, but I don't think so. I can beat Super-C in under 14 minutes, if that adds some perspective into my video game experience. And by hard, I mean hard by design, not by lack of it. There are plenty of games that are hard because they were poorly designed by people who were just there for the paycheck.

100 dollars for:

Sega Dreamcast Game Console [JPN]
Marvel vs Capcom 2 [JPN]
Two Controllers
Two Controller Extension Cables
Three VMU
One Jump Pack
VGA Adapter switchbox
A/V Cable
S-Video Cable
Power Cable

Not a bad price really.

Yeah, chances are it'll just be non-vidya stuff. Even if that doesn't work out too well, I've been scoping out some sellers on Craigslist that I may be able to buy from thanks to this thread.

That effect was hell to deal with when I was emulating EB. I avoided the Running Mushrooms like the plague after my first shroom experience.

Hey, don't worry, the missing battery cover isn't a big problem.

I remember having to trek really far to fight monsters, only to have them infect me with some disease or condition, at which point I'd have to go all the way back to town to get cured. So I had the choice of going through unbearably tedious grinding in comparison to other RPGs, or going into every boss fight slightly under-leveled. Also, the exp didn't scale well with monster difficulty. It was a tough game, and I think the devs have said things to that affect in a few interviews. Or maybe that was about the original Mother.

But why? I have it and to be honest it's kind of embarrassing to own. I loved it as a kid, but the whole thing was so gimmicky and poorly implemented so that half the time a clear command didn't even work.

Trust me, you aren't missing much.

I fucking hate my area for retro video games. Craigslist is completely useless, and Kijiji isn't much better. People usually are constantly watching it and buying whatever they see immediately and reselling it. Pic related, the only retro game thing that came up on craigslist.

i literally just bought this and it was 60$ which I thought was a crazy good deal, it's hard to find in the box and I was expecting to pay close to 100$ without the box. The guy i bought it from had 2 so that's the only reason he was selling it. Shit is awsome man!
