The soundtrack to the saturn version of Sonic Blast is actually really excellent, and the special stages look pretty good. It's not really a bad game, honestly, It would have made a pretty great rental back in the day.

This game gave me motion sickness, which isn't something I've ever gotten from any other game, it was technically garbage to me because it was unplayable without a vomit bucket.

It was probably the FOV, this game has it set to around 60-70 by default, it could be changed but many people didn't know that.

I tried that, it didn't work.

then it was either the headbobbing present in the game, the way it was rendering or the framerate/monitor crt's tend to cause headaches when used for that type of fps game, if you're sensitive to it that is.

For me it was quake 1, no matter the fov i would get nauseous after about 2-3 levels.

I looked it up once, apparently it is quite common.

Quake 1 was pretty known for that too, now that I think about it.

Well HL1 was based on the quake engine so there are bound to be similarities. Though i've never had any issues in the later version of the source engine.

While enjoyable for about 5 minutes, while the fact that it was released in arcades in June 1984 (that's less than a year after the release of the Famicom and 18 months before the American release of the NES) is impressive, it's just gimmicky garbage.

I remember not being impressed by 3D Blast in the slightest. By the time Playstation was out and we were invaded by retarded Genesis ports of 3D games like Virtua Fighter and I remember me thinking it looked and played like ass

I agree. Great and fun port of the arcade.
