Finding a dreamcast that doesn't have a shitty disk drive is becoming harder and harder, the saturns disk drive is an absolute tank and is likely to still be working perfectly. So, for practical reasons I recommend the saturn, but I love both.

Dreamcast is great, but it's become a bit of a meme system with other sega fans crying over its demise, and pretentious twats claiming it was the last real video game console and all that shit. The system is awesome and has lots of great games, but the library is probably the smallest of the post-master system sega consoles. A lot of games you may have even already played considering how often the software was ported.

The Saturn on the other hand is tremendous and has a largely unknown library is superb games that are not available anywhere else such as the second and third parts of the iconic panzer dragoon trilogy. They are both pretty easy to get back ups running on, but the saturn is a far more fascinating system.

D2 isn't top 10 material, but it's a very "dreamcast" type of game. I.E there's nothing quite like it.

Dreamcast had the best games out of any system during it's short life span. get one of those.

It's a shame emulators for both of these systems are so lacking. The Saturn and Dreamcast are both expensive to collect for and I'm not made of money.

Dreamcast has a few expensive games (capcom, shenmue) but I would say overrall it's one of the cheapest systems to collect for, barring maybe the master system.

Buy personally, I'd say Dreamcast. The ability to just burn games and play them without disc swapping in expansion carts is very newbie friendly.
